Features for better Google Meet notes

MeetFlovv captures Google Meet calls, transcribes them while they run, adds speaker names where Google Meet's captions identify them, and writes notes with decisions and action items when the call ends. Audio is deleted right after it is transcribed.

Live transcript

MeetFlovv does not wait for the meeting to end. Audio arrives in 15-second pieces, each piece is transcribed by a speech-to-text service, and the text appears on the meeting page while the call is still running.

If a piece fails to upload or to process, it is retried automatically, so a short network drop does not cost you part of the meeting.

  • Updates on the meeting page during the call
  • A timestamp on every segment
  • Export as Markdown or plain text

Speaker names

MeetFlovv reads the speaker timing that Google Meet shows in its captions. The extension and MeetFlovv Bot turn captions on for this, and lines have no speaker name if Meet's captions are unavailable. Each transcript segment gets the name of the person whose speaking time overlaps it the most.

When two people are tied, or nobody spoke within about two seconds of the line, the name is left blank. Speaker names depend on Google Meet's captions, so check a name before you quote someone.

  • Works with the extension and MeetFlovv Bot
  • Uses the names Google Meet shows
  • Left blank when the match is ambiguous

AI notes

After capture ends and the whole meeting is transcribed, MeetFlovv writes the notes from the full transcript, so they reflect the whole conversation.

The notes always have the same structure, and the AI model is instructed never to invent facts, decisions, owners or deadlines. Long meetings are summarized section by section and then combined.

  • Summary and key points
  • Decisions and open questions
  • Copy, or export as Markdown or text

Action items

Every action item has the task, plus an owner and a due date when someone actually said them. If nobody said who would do it, the owner stays empty so you can assign it.

The Action items page collects the tasks from all your meetings in one place, grouped by meeting, and you can search them.

  • Owners only when stated
  • Due dates only when stated
  • One page for every meeting's tasks

MeetFlovv Bot

Paste a Google Meet link and MeetFlovv Bot asks to join as a separate participant, named after you by default (for example, Ana's Notetaker, or MeetFlovv Notetaker if your account has no name); you can change the name each time you send it. If the meeting asks hosts to admit guests, the host admits it like any other guest, and it waits up to 10 minutes to be let in.

MeetFlovv Bot keeps its camera and microphone off, records the call audio and leaves when the meeting ends or when it is the last one left. You can follow its status in your dashboard.

  • You do not need to attend
  • Visible in the participant list
  • Your plan sets how many can join at once

Calendar auto-join

Calendar auto-join is part of the Pro and Business plans. Connect Google Calendar with read-only access, then turn on auto-join in Settings. MeetFlovv checks your primary calendar every minute and sends MeetFlovv Bot to eligible meetings about two minutes before they start.

Eligible means confirmed, with a Google Meet link, and you are the organizer or an attendee who has not declined. All-day, cancelled and declined events are skipped, and you can skip any single meeting.

  • Included in Pro and Business
  • Read-only Calendar and Meet access
  • Joins up to five minutes late if needed

Chrome extension

Choose Start Notes in the extension during a Google Meet call and it records the meeting tab's audio, plus your microphone only while Google Meet shows you as unmuted.

Nothing joins the call, so let the other participants know you are taking notes. Choose Stop Notes when you are done, and the notes are written as soon as the last audio is transcribed.

  • Chrome 116 or later on a computer
  • No extra participant in the call
  • Same transcript and notes as MeetFlovv Bot

Audio deleted right after transcription

Each piece of audio is deleted right after it is transcribed, as soon as the next piece no longer needs it for context. A cleanup job runs every minute and removes any audio still on disk 10 minutes after it was transcribed.

Transcripts and speaker timing are deleted 48 hours after your notes are ready. Your notes stay until you delete the meeting or your account.

  • You cannot replay a meeting: audio is deleted once it is transcribed
  • Export transcripts you want to keep
  • Processing services are listed by category in the privacy policy
